As if my fall couldn’t get any awesomer, I have now a wedding to go to. Good thing it’s next month because I have a dress to buy. As someone who has worked fashion retail (Charlotte Russe) I’m not too worried. Here are my top six tips to finding a dress.

  1. Never explore “your closet” Hell, those are for dresses that were worn already. They can’t be seen again unless they are being hauled to the dumpster during spring cleaning.

  2. When a salesperson asks you what you are looking for, you are morally obligated to tell them. Otherwise you are just wandering around aimlessly wasting your time

  3. Take each dress in a large, medium and a small even if the small could substitute as a scarf and the large could be a tent

  4. When you are in the dressing room, snapchat each dress to no less than five people. It’s a group decision right?

  5. Go for pale, pastel colors that will compliment that bride’s white gown. She’ll appreciate you for it.

  6. Don’t forget to leave the tag on so you can return it!
