Baltimore road trip. Justin and I went down to Baltimore for our first major road trip. We stayed with his friends and I got to see my college roommate Alice who works there. There was alot of caffeine, Mario Kart and Spaceballs (the movie).
Fondue. Justin took me out to dinner at the Melting Pot for my birthday. He had mentioned it was my big day so there were rose petals on the table and balloons. There were four courses: salads, vegetables with cheese, meat, and dessert with chocolate. It was one of the best dining experiences I had. Maybe even the top one.
My book signing. I teamed up with NAMI for my very first book signing/ reading. People came with their own copies of my books ready to be signed which blew my mind. Some bought some. That’s crazy too. Big milestone in my writing “career”
—-- ‘s New Year’s Eve Party
My friend had completely converted her bedroom to a dance floor and there was dancing plus the kitchen was stocked with drinks and we went in every time we needed to catch our breath
Cape Cod. This year more of my cousins cousins came and some were older so we had so many people for games. My favorites were the werewolf game (I got fooled every time. Even a seasoned vet like me). I never got a power role though which would have made it even better.
—-’s birthday. —--- had several birthday celebrations. We went kayaking, we saw an off Broadway show and we had a game night at her place. Everyone devoured the food then collapsed in the living room for a night of friendly competition.
—-’s pool party. Pool parties are valued experience since we don’t usually have access to pools. Every summer —--- will throw a huge party. We practiced flips off the diving board (I landed on my face), played keepaway with a watermelon shaped medicine ball and I tried not to let my boobs pop out of my bathing suit.
Justin’s birthday weekend. I really have his parents to thank for this. They got us two tickets to a Broadway musical (Tommy) and a hotel room. Justin took me to Carmine’s which he had been dying to show me. The next day we went to the Museum of Sex where we got fake married and I got the ring (aka keychain) I constantly wear now.
Christmas. Hey any Christmas we don’t have Co-vid is refreshing. I got a decorated Pooh journal from Mom which I’ve almost filled up.
Placing third at the May poetry slam. Since we moved locations I haven’t won or placed. But maybe this is a good indication I’m back on the road to success.
