What’s Up Teenage Me,

Wow. Being a teenager was an experience___, am I right? I know those times were extra ___confusing___. Looking back on t hem now, I would say the biggest/ hardest things that happened to me then were:

  1. When my best friend betrayed me and started dating my boyfriend

  2. When my manic episodes affected my life but we had no clue what they were

  3. When I was grounded for the rest of  my life for sex and drinking

One lesson I’ve learned from living through all that is _____I’m tougher than I give myself credit for____.

One thing I would take back if I could would be the way I ____shared my body with people who didn’t deserve it____.

Now it occurs to me that ____I did alot of acting out from being in emotional pain_____.

It wasn’t all ____bad___ though.  I remember ___youth group___ and sometimes I still think about ____getting drunk in parking lots___.

One thing I’ve never told anyone about those days was _____how frequently I thought about suicide___.

If I knew then what I know now, I would have ____gotten help for my undiagnosed bipolar disorder___. I’d also like to tell teenage me this: ____I was doing the best I could___ and that ___so many people cared about me____. Oh and this other thing too:____it would get better. Eventually_____.

Even though I didn’t know it at the time, I really was ____blessed___. I’m grateful for ____my support system___.

All in all I’d rate my teenage years a: ___6.5___

With all my ____affection___,

Leigh_.
