My Experience Losing My "Virginity" Onstage at the Rocky Horror Picture Show

This past weekend my boyfriend took me to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. He said it was a rite of passage and I love new experiences. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is unique because the movie is playing but there are also actors in costume interacting with the audience dancing onstage not to mention cast members harassing the story. For example they would say “asshole” whenever Brad was mentioned or “slut” whenever Janet was mentioned. FYI this is not a show for children. It is very adult in language and content. And it is not a show for the easily offended either.

Before the show they had us stand. “Anyone who has seen Rocky Horror at least 20 times please sit down” Very few people sat. They did this with lower numbers, gradually eliminating people until the only people standing were “virgins” They said if we were touched by a cast member to come up to the stage. The girl playing Janet saw I was craning my neck trying to get noticed and she brought me up onstage. Six of us were called forward and three girls were told to lie on the floor and spread their legs. Then the other three of us were told to kneel between them.

They put munchkins on her waistline and told the kneeling group (me) to put our hands behind our backs. We were to eat the munchkins off their waist using only our mouths. I dove for the munchkin determined to fit it all in my mouth. I wasn’t sure if it was a race or what but I didn;t want to hold up the whole show chewing a munchkin. I didn’t calculate that I have shit balance and even though I got the munchkin in my mouth I flopped over, splitting over open my lip. Blood filled my mouth. I did cheat because I used my hand to get back on my knees again.

“It’s so dry” said the person next to me. It was. Chew, chew, chew. It was like chewing sawdust. Chew, chew, chew. What if I was unable to swallow it? It was alot in my mouth. Chew, chew, chew. When I finally finished it (the chocolate mingling with my blood) I went for the second munchkin. This time I landed on her practically headbutting her. I was a little worried I had hurt her but I could feel her laughing as i took a bite out of the munchkin. This way I was able to finish it earlier. When we were done I helped her up and we walked off the stage.

The rest of the show was just as fun but nothing came close to being up on that stage. I would have loved to be in the cast. They seemed really nice. Maybe it’s a sign I should try theater again? I don’t know. All I know is I had a great experience at the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
