October may not have been quite as lively or lovely as September but it was still amazing. I had fun with my friends, I got to go to an amazing poetry festival (the Dodge Poetry Festival in Newark), I read some amazing books (Hollow Bones and Fledgling and Anne Boleyn: A King’s Obsession)  and I’ve been diligently working on my writing and crafts (unfortunately at the detriment of my knitting and piano). I am aware the month isn’t quite over yet (I still have two busy nights ahead of me) but I decided to divide it up and review the resolutions.

Resolutions I’ve Accomplished:

  • I saw all three plays and they were superb. Stuff like this makes want to get back on the

stage. I’ve acted my heart out in the role of a lifetime.

–           We did go apple picking together but  by the time we got to the orchard it was late in the season and none of the apples were left on the trees, just in big bins we could pick from. I did get apples (Fuji in case you were wondering) but it wasn’t quite the same. I did have a great time with my friends anyway and the foliage on the drive up was breathtaking.

  • Yes a costume was needed and as I mentioned I was Velma (and will be again Saturday night). Knee high orange socks, red skirt, orange turtleneck, glasses (which I wear all the time anyway) and straightened hair. Done

  • I’m in the middle of several horror books from Flowers in the Attic  to Horns but now I also have my book club books (I’m in two). So I am actually in the middle of nine books now which I would like to finish by the end of November.

  • I saw all three movies and I liked all three movies. I’d recommend Resident Evil for horror fans, Clayface for gritty crime thrillers, and Primetime for uncomfortably close to true life.

  • I have not used up either gift card. Go me!

Resolutions I’m Still Working on

  • I don’t like to “waste” stuff. That’s why my favorite fruit loops candle hardly ever gets lit. Justin’s going to get me one of those candle things that melts a candle without a flame for Christmas and I think I’ll use it alot more after that.

  • I have one more thank you card. I worked really hard on each one decorating the entire outside, part of the inside with a meaningful message too. I hope my friends realize how much I love them.

  • I haven’t really hung out with any of them one on one. This is because everybody has been busy. At least I hope that’s the reason and not that they all wanted to ditch me.

  • I still haven’t played the Disappointment Game though I might play it at the party Saturday. I guess it might be my fault because I did not initiate the Disappointment Game get together with my friends but I was too scared to hear no or worse, an excuse.

  • I have been so busy I haven’t even  had time to look at Burn This Deck. Maybe I could squeeze in some today.

  • I only wrote one book review for the Christmas Presents. Looks like I’ve got some catching up to do in November.
