Resolutions I’ve Accomplished

  • Since I forgot two chapters I had to ask for an extension (it cost money) so I don’t think the book will be out until December the earliest. The book launch will definitely have to be in the New Year.

  • I’m loving the Tao of Pooh. I read a chapter every morning and I actually take notes. I am planning on reading it with  my mom. It is the perfect blend of humor, whimsy and self-help.

  • I’ve started familiarizing myself with the machines. Unfortunately I still don’t know how to adjust the seats on the majority of the machines so if someone really tall was on it before me I’m kind of out of luck.

  • I have written at least four personal essays this month. One of my upcoming projects is a book of personal essays. I will only reveal the pseudonym I’m writing it under to certain people.

Resolutions I’m Still Working On

  • Unfortunately I didn’t get to have a horror movie marathon this year. My partner in crime has been so busy lately we weren’t even able to schedule for November. Maybe next year I’ll have a small party where I can have more people and we can all vote on which scary movies we’d like to see

  • For some reason I have serious trouble keeping my desk neat. Maybe I need my own study with seven desks- one for each project I’m working on. The study will be fireproof of course.

  • I haven’t written many essays this month but I will focus on research essays in the coming months.

  • I’m at 196. I lost four pounds in a week. Here are some things I’m doing differently: I gave up Monster (all energy drinks actually), I’m putting in more of a workout at the gym, I gave up my daily bag of popcorn and my daily bottle of Gatorade. I was down to 160 a few years ago and 130 when I was in college.  Right now I would just be happy to get out of the 190s. Small steps.

  • I haven’t really posted much on Substack or Medium.

  • I got my five buttons to Katie. Still working on the comfort book.

  • I still got to get comfortable not wearing sweats all the time. When I was in college, getting dressed for every party, every club meeting, every class was a production. I went through all my clothes reflecting on my mood and the weather. My clothes clung to my curves which I loved to flaunt. Now I wear baggy shirts to hide my belly. This has got to change.

Resolutions I’ve Abandoned

  • I don’t think I’m going apply to work at the enrichment program. First of all with no college degree I doubt I will be hired. But my goal is to find an agent who will publish my next book. My therapist encouraged me to go beyond self-publishing. Truly, I don’t see anything wrong with self-publishing but its true a book deal or being picked up by a publisher would be much more lucrative and that’s what I have to work on.

  • What kind of business was I thinking of? I am in no position to launch my own business and even if I was what would I sell? I made all my thank you cards but they all have minor errors.
