Project Runway

In September for my birthday I got a fashion kit where you could design clothes on mannequins. Unfortunately there were only five mannequins and so many more cool bolts of fabric and accessories. So I decided its time to take down my models, redesign them and reintroduce them to the world. But first I want you to get to know the mannequins that have been rocking it for the last six months.

Anna Kate is quite familiar with the runaway. She had her first flute of champagne at twelve and never went back. She only wears Size Zero and she exclusively wears Leigh Winters (that's a designer by the way). She's insecure about her breasts (which is funny because all the mannequins had the same size breasts). She was on the cover of Vogue: Evening Wear Edition. Her biggest accomplishment is no unwanted pregnancies....that is to say any pregnancies.

Willow is a fairy. A flower fairy to be exact. They usually don't have to much to do in the human world but Willow was born without wings so she faces a lot of prejudice from her community. Willow is sweet and fiercely loyal. She understands that modeling is a business and not everyone can get every job and she's cool about it....unless you steal it out from under her. Then you have a problem.

Iris is experimental. Her agent is floundering because he can't land her good jobs. This was her latest look and the magazines didn't like it, especially the pineapples and the fact that it combined two looks. "While cute she still has a long way to go before Iris is considered as a serious model," said acid tongued Margaret Nelly, reporter with fingers in several fashion businsses. Really, Iris should be lucky she is even on Margaret's radar.

Athena is one of the first plus sized models to break ground in the fashion industry and she's known for her hips no less. "Most models are about ass or boobs," said Tom Felder, desiner and admirer of Athena who came from less than nothing on the streets of New Jersey. "She is built off these killer hips. Childbearing hips they used to call it" She always insists on wearing pink.

Buttercup is a crossover from the adult film industry. Known for her can do attitude (which some people have termed her "ruthless" attitude) and means justify the ends mentality, you better be nice to this new edition to the modeling business. She is much more than a schoolgirl.

I really like their outfits but I think I can do better. I'll come back to y ou in a couple of days.
