  1. Cut down on caffeine. Initially, I had five or six cups of tea/ coffee. But I  recently made a promise to Mom that I would cut down to one cup of coffee. And per my New Year resolution I’ve almost eliminated energy drinks.

  2. Eat slower. Savor every bite. Eat less pretzels.

  3. Act like the independent woman I am. Just because I am dating someone doesn’t mean I can’t be strong on my own.

  4. Pick two nights a week to focus on poetry.

  5. Always ask my friends “how are you doing?” before I launch into my life.’

Update: For those who don’t know, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease a few years ago. For a year I’ve been in remission but I had a procedure done yesterday and it showed the Crohn’s was back. I have had three straight weeks of diarrhea (sorry TMI) and I’m starting to feel weak and dizzy and cold from dehydration. My blog posts might be a little shorter in the days coming up until we figure out medication.
