Wake up every morning as though something wonderful is possible today
“Today I will do great things”

Returning from a debate meet, tired but satisfied (judges don’t lose) and I checked my email and I got the lead in the school play and a scholarship to the college of my dreams
Friendsgiving where we all put our gifts under the table and I unquestionably got the best one (a piece of artwork from my roommate. She had decorated paper with Winnie the and his friends and quotes from the book).
Thanksgiving dinner with my friend’s family cooked by my ex. Actually that whole weekend was great,
The freshman Halloween party where sparks were flying between my best friend and I and I met Victoria, a sexy strawberry. Notice this is the only memory that involves alcohol
New Year’s Eve, kissing Justin at midnight surrounded by the best friends I have ever known.

Truth: I am nervous about going to Cape Cod next week. It is very stressful time for me. All travel makes me nervous, Memories, panic attacks, feelings, family. I have been going for thirty years and it just seems to get more intense. I’m really glad we started bringing Justin. He’s like a portable therapist that lends me his winter coats on the cold nights.

5 Fashion Accessories I’d Bring With Me to a Deserted Island:
My metal choker which makes me look like some S+M badass
My music scarf (a scarf with piano notes on it. My high school best friend got it for me from Austria)
My anxiety earrings (big bold earrings that spell anxiety. Technically I can’t wear these anymore because my holes closed up. Honestly I might get them pierced for the fourth time just so I can wear these earrings again)
My yellow fluorescent fingerless fishnet gloves
A pair of sparkly fishnet tights

8) Help The People Around You
Starting today you have seven smiles. You get to make one person smile per day. Today I made my gynecologist smile. That sounds weird.
9) Spend Time With Positive People
I can’t believe it’s been only two days since we put Scout down. It feels like he’s been gone forever.
