Over the summer, I embarked on an ambitious project. I wanted to write a book about the mental healthcare system. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much direction and I was eventually sidetracked by a terrible manic episode that landed me in the psych ward. Now, after being reminded by a friend, I want to return to this book. I’ve narrowed down my area of focus to something that has played a big role in my life over the past few years: mental institutions. I know something of the history of them (scary stuff) but I’m hoping to learn more. Way more. If you want to be interviewed for my project, please contact me here or via Facebook if we’re friends.
