Book Launch

I had my book launch yesterday. For anybody who hasn’t been paying attention my latest book is The Meg and Other “Shark” Stories. Honestly, I was disappointed I didn’t have a bigger turnout but then I realized that the nine people who did show up were there to support me, listen to my story and buy my book. I was nervous sharing my story even though most of friends knew it already. We held the book launch at a very nice vegan cafe. The owner, Larissa, has created a warm and intimate atmosphere. The room is full of miniatures and fairy houses and small earrings. After I did a reading I went to the back room and signed some books. The money will go to a good cause (my Hershey Park trip), After we all went to dinner after. I sat in between all my friends and reflected how lucky I am.

These people gave up a Sunday evening to hear me share my story. They have my back. I can’t help but feel lucky, supported and very very happy. And to all my friends who couldn’t make it…….there will be a next one.
