I would just like to say (without going into too much detail) that my health hasn’t been very good lately. I might miss posting some days or my posts might be much shorter on others. Thank you for bearing with me through this difficult time.


Challenging Situation: having to leave eighth grade and be homeschooled

How I Coped:

  • Shot hoops every day

  • Researched youth groups and library groups

  • Read (mostly biographies)

  • Journaled (alot)

  • Was very close with my cousin


Challenging Situation: got caught and grounded after sneaking around with  my ex boyfriend

How I Coped:

  • Made friends with kids from the youth group

  • Read almost all the Jodi Picoult books

  • Journaled up a storm

  • Continued to go to youth group (it saved me)


Challenging Situation: – - and I broke up

How I Coped: 

  • Became promiscuous

  • Drank alot

  • Withdrew from well-meaning friends

  • Self-harmed


Challenging Situation: severe depression

How I Coped:

  • Checked myself into the mental hospital

  • Treated by a capable doctor

  • Stayed with my friends family while remaining close to my college friends (Friendsgiving)Worked hard on school (Dean’s List)


Challenging Situation: psychotic 

How I Coped:

  • Partial hospital (made friends with —)

  • Shoot hoops

  • Worked on illustrated poem books

  • Worked on memoir

  • Saw a new therapist

  • Got on meetup, went to new activities


Challenging Situation: post suicide attempt

How I Coped:

  • Hospitlization and partial

  • Remained strong with my boyfriend

  • Went back to Meetup groups

  • Worked on memoir

  • Eventually went back to work at Charlotte Russe


Challenging Situation: Now, bad health

How I’m Coping:

  • Therapy

  • The love from my boyfriend, Justin

  • My poetry friends

  • My family support

  • Tylenol
