Pouring yourself a morning cup of Joe. When I wake up, the first thing I have to do is take a thyroid pill. I have to wait half an hour until I am able to have anything other than water. I keep my eye on the clock and boom once a half hour has passed I just pour the coffee into my cup.
Making someone laugh.
I learned this weekend from my brother’s girlfriend a little about cross stitching. She taught me how to make neat little X’s across the page that I could barely see. There is no way I could weave that needle in and out of the sampler if I still was suffering from the tremors. One tight stitch of my own brought an enormous sense of pride.
Hitting that right chord on the piano.
Being able to translate a sentence into another language (and that includes sign language. I have learned how to ask where the bathroom is which is really useful if you think about it)
When the kitchen gets your order right when you are going out to eat
Tying a knot on a beautiful bracelet so the beads can’t escape
Hearing a song in someone else’s car you can add to your playlist
Finding a video you enjoyed the first time that you thought you’d never see again
The hiss of a new seltzer bottle
