Pepsi, “The Choice”

I kind of felt bad for Coke after Pepsi stole their adorable mascot. In this well thought out ad, a polar bear chooses Pepsi over Coke Cola leading to an existential crisis. Hopefully this kind of ribbing was good natured and not mean spirited. It also sparked a laugh between my friends because several months ago my friend wrote a poem called “Is Pepsi Okay?” almost foreshadowing this entire commercial (shout out to you, Vince).

Lays, “Last Harvest”

This heartfelt ad is about a potato farmer passing down the torch to his daughter. Along the way  he teaches her the ins and outs of farming and they share some Lays potato chips together.

Alexa, “Plots”

In this hilarious ad, Chris Hemsworth believes his new Alexa assistant is trying to kill him. How? She could sever his head with the garage door, try to drown him in a pool and attack him via bear. His wife seems to think he is more than a  little unhinged but we only enjoy the show.

Xifinity, “Jurassic Park….Works”

As a fan of the movie and the  book how could I not like this commercial for Xfinity which is about  how Jurassic Park comes back to life after a power outage looking even more impressive. Bonus: Jeff Goldblum was in this commercial.

Liquid I.V. “Against All Odds”

First of all, the key word is “odd” because this add is honestly bizarre. It’s for Liquid I.V. and when they explain that it makes sense. But the singing toilets were a little confusing at first. Amusing though. Plus I just like Phil Collins and Liquid IV.
