I’m so happy its October. It might be my second favorite month (tied with December). The pumpkins, the apples, the leaves, the horror movies. Yeah definitely the horror movies. I put it on Free Space because it is optional but it’s probably what I want to do most.

October Resolutions;

  • I see a lot of plays. This month it will include the following three:  The Bergen County Players puts on some good shows so we are going to see the Producers (it’s one of Justin’s favorite productions). My cousin directed a production of The Importance of Being Earnest that we are all going to see. And of course there is the Cursed Child ON Broadway WITH Tom Felton at the end of the month.

  • I haven’t been apple picking in a few years but it is a quintessential fall activity. Maybe my mom will even do something with the apples I bake. Pie anyone? That just reminds me I had strawberry pie in my dreams. Is strawberry pie even a thing?

  • Usually I go to a costume party on Halloween and then we migrate to a club. I”m not sure what I”m doing this year but I kind of want to be either Katherine of Aragon or Anne Boleyn. I have to hunt down costumes. Maybe Spirit Halloween has something. Last year I went as a spider witch. I actually got compliments.

  •   I am very excited to embark on the quest of reading gothic and horror books.I think the only horror I”ve read is Stephen KIng. But I’ve hand selected alot of other books from Fledging by Octavia E. Butler to Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews. Both books were vouched for by reputable sources.

  • I’ve heard alot about this in self-help books. Use the good china today. When I take a bath I sometimes feel guilty using the exfoliating soap. But why should I? When is a better time to use it than now? I’m going to be using my fruit loops candle alot this fall.

  • People were so generous to show up to my party and give me presents. I am putting a lot of time and effort into these handmade thank you cards. I want everyone to know how much I appreciate them and their thoughtfulness.

  • I want to see so many movies. Resident Evil we were supposed to see but I wasn’t feeling good. Primetime starring Robert Pattinson looks so interesting. And Clayface looks creepy. I also want to see The Other Mommy but Justin (politely) said “No way in hell” so I will  have to rope in Adam.

  • I want to have one on one time with several of my closest friends. I know better than anyone that if you don’t invest in a friendship, it could easily crumple or fade away. That's not going to happen to me. I won’t let it.

  • One of the cool gifts i got for my birthday was something called the Disappointment Game which is a game very similar to Cards Against Humanity. A judge will take an inspirational card and all the other participants will submit ironic messages and the judge chooses what they find to be the funniest one. I played it with Justin and a friend of mine. I think it would work better with more people but I did find it fun.

  • At Michaels, I got a deck of cards that says Burn This Deck. I’m planning on answering the questions. Who know maybe I”lll even answer some questions on here.

  • I got  very generous presents including gift cards to Michaels and Barnes and Nobles. I am not about to blow them on the first thing I see. I’m making them last at least one month.

  • I am actually going to be writing book reviews for the book club on the book that we read (I took careful notes) January-July. I love how varied our book choices have been.

I’m so busy. Evening is the only time I really take time for myself. In the morning I”m too busy waking up. My body is still getting used to the seroquel. I would like to push myself further but as of now its not an option. Still….fall feels good.
