While Ariana Grande got her start on Nickelodeon, Sabrina Carpenter gotr her foot in the door on a Disney Channel show (Girl Meets World). Since then she has stayed on the radar thanks to her musical ability, her acting talent and her ability to meet whatever life throws at her. Sabrina wasn’t really in my orbit until my boyfriend showed her to me on Saturday Night Live.

I started listening to her music particularly “Short N Sweet” (Sabrina is five feet, even shorter than me). I loved Espresso and the daring saucy attitude that came with Taste. Clearly Sarbina was not afraid to say what was on her mind. Time and time again she proves she never has been. Evidently I was not the only one who loved that album. It was nominated for six Grammy’s.

In no time (we are talking Taylor Swift time, maybe even faster) she had come out with another album “Man’s Best Friend” which gave me three more shower songs (though I had to keep my voice down in some of them):  Busy Woman, When Did You Get Hot? and Please Please Please. I love Carpenter’s refreshingly and upfront to things like sex and….yeah sex.

But she’s more than that. She can act and she is going to be playing Alice in Universal's original musical of Alice in Wonderland (the book is now in the public domain. Can someone please cast me in a Winnie the Pooh musical? That’s in the public domain as well). Not only is she starring in her first major motion picture, she  is producing it. If she does this as well as she does everything else, we should be in for a very enjoyable experience.
