The End of Trauma Therapy

I’ll keep this short because it’s beautiful outside and I want to go celebrate with friends. Today I graduated from trauma therapy. I’m so proud of myself and I don’t care who knows it. I worked hard for this, reliving every tortured minute of what those men did to me. It was not an easy process. There were truths to accept, a lot of anger, a search for forgiveness, And now I can file it as behind me. I don’t have to live in the past any longer and I have a better idea of how to protect myself in the future. Thank you to my therapeutic team who helped get me to this point. Thank you to my parents for supporting me. Thank you to my wonderful boyfriend who showed me what a true man is. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
