Both. They both loved the name (spoiler alert: my real name is not Leigh)

Moon

Would you choose to be immortal?No. I want to go to heaven. Why would I choose to stay here amid so much pain and suffering when I could have God’s love, see my dead loved ones and truly live forever?

Do you believe in karma?

I’m a little embarrassed about it but yeah

Do you generally remember your dreams?

Yes. Sometimes I don’t wake up remembering them but they occur to me around ten or eleven in or if something triggers them.

My boyfriend’s boyfriend dinner at the Melting Pot (an amazing place. You really should go there)

Your profession:

I’m a part time activities worker at senior center, a full time writer. 

Is your profession something you’ve always wanted to do?

Being a writer is the lifelong dream I’ve always wanted. I never expected to work at a senior center but as I get my footing I find I’m getting better at it and am enjoying it more.

No

If I had a vehicle I’d name him Wallace

People Who Remind You of Yourself:

1. Ariel from The Little Mermaid

When I was sixteen my dad hated my boyfriend too (not because he was a human but because he was four years older than me and a drug dealer) but that didn’t stop me from breaking his trust (and probably his heart) and trying to make it work with my boyfriend anyway. Like it could ever work. Although it did work for Ariel (but only after a lot of turmoil and anguish). Another way I’m similar to Ariel? Killer set of pipes.

2. Carrie Bradshaw

I actually have never watched Sex and the City except the clips they put on Facebook. But I have had my share of sexcapades (not TOO much) and I talk about sex with my friends and write about it (albeit not in a column. Yet). That boyfriend I had when I was sixteen. I was convinced he was my Big. As only a sixteen year old can.

3. Anne Frank

I will start by saying Anne Frank is my hero. She is braver than I could ever be and she also expresses the capacity for love. She has such a sense of  humanity despite her circumstances.

I’m not saying I have that. But when I was in eighth grade I read her diary during a particularly tough time. And it gave me perspective. And hope. And I’ve tried to emulate Anne since then. When my emotions don’t get the best of me.
