Not apologizing for having short hair
Being called a “dyke” and shrugging it off because I know I’m better than hateful language
Being open with my friends about my sexuality
Standing up for myself and my friends when “gay” is used in a derogatory way
Keeping my sexuality from my family because it’s my business and I’m not sure how they would feel about it
Celebrating with my friends with rainbow flags
Going to pride events
Knowing you can be attracted to a person based on their personality and not what gender they are or aren’t
Feeling at home in your body, whether or not it is the body you were born in
Acceptance and tolerance
Sticking together against homophobic comments
Welcoming straight allies
Discovering more about yourself and your sexuality every day
Knowing it doesn’t take anything away from your heterosexual relationship to support others
