1. It’s like the one time of year I’m not hungry. Because of my meds my stomach always feels like it’s eating itself. But now there are always snacks, cookies, entire turkeys on hand. I’m not complaining!

2. Presents. I’m not materialistic but I like presents as much as the next person. I’ve even been receptive towards socks….if they say the right thing (I have a pair that says ‘But first….coffee’). Anything Winnie the Pooh is also appropriate.

3. Decorating. Especially the tree. My mom lets me get a new ornament every year and this year we’ve added the train.

4. Music. Music has always been very important to me. It moves me in ways not many things can. I love Christmas music and have a penchant for listening in July.

5. Seeing family and friends. Celebrating with people I don’t get to see often is so much fun. We sing songs, play games and just soak up each other's awesomeness. A holiday bonus to anyone who gets the reference.

6. The Christmas (holiday) spirit. Whatever you are celebrating you can’t deny this time of year is really special. There’s a sense of charity and love that isn’t felt the rest of the year. Do you feel it? Leave a comment and let me know.
