OCD Awareness Week

If you’ve been reading my posts long enough then you’ll know I have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). You’ll know it really grinds my gears when people say “I’m so OCD”. You can’t be so OCD. It’s not an adjective. It’s a medical condition. And it can get pretty serious especially when it’s combined with other mental illnesses (in my case that would be bipolar 1). For your benefit, I have gone through some of my posts about OCD over the last three and a half years and will link them below.

The OCD Queen

Lately I’ve been put on a higher dose of medication for my OCD because it’s been bad again. It seems to increase in the fall and then peak around Christmas (Christmas is brutal for my OCD but it still is one of my favorite times of year). I know OCD will ebb and flow. Just also know the next person who says they are sooooooo OCD is going to get hit.
